Biography

Mr. Crotty is currently responsible for capital productivity and execution strategies for HCA's Design and Construction's $1.5B project portfolio.  Mr. Crotty has over 30 years of experience in leading a diverse set of supply chains from check printing, automotive parts to power generation in operational excellence and transformations.

He also has provided operational excellence and transformation leadership in over 40 industries to include telecomm, defense electronics and the aviation industries.  Mr. Crotty joined HCA in May of 2015 to lead the embedded Building Capital team and the extended partner advocate team leading HCA’s Design and Construction transformation.

Mr. Crotty has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from Golden Gate University.  Mr. Crotty is certified Project Management Professional and Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence Lead Examiner.

In his current role as the VP & global Head of Finance Global Operations at HP Inc., Rajeev currently leads HP Finance hubs across India (Bangalore, Chennai), Mexico (Guadalajara), Poland (Wroclaw) and China (Dalian), along with 44 country front offices. His organization is responsible for delivery & stakeholder management for Finance processes. Rajeev is also accountable for Site Leadership, Talent Development & Digital Transformation across these hubs.

In a career spanning 3 decades across organizations like HP, Fidelity Investments, GE, L&T and Eicher group, Rajeev has invested 12 years in manufacturing / factory management & 18 years in Shared Services. Rajeev is well known for his inspirational leadership, change management skills and Business partnership. Jim Collins is a student and teacher of leadership and what makes great companies tick.

Ed is currently Vice-President of Operational Excellence Assessment and Oversight for Duke Energy. His group performs assessments of Duke operational business units, to promote event-free performance and continuous improvement in safety, reliability and efficiency.

Ed joined Duke Energy, (through legacy companies Carolina Power & Light and Progress Energy) in 1983. Over a 36-year career, he has held various operations, engineering, and strategy roles in electrical generation and distribution, including plant manager, engineering director, and fleet operations general manager.     

Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.     

He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 36 years, has three grown children, and is the grandfather of twin boys. He and his wife Susan reside in Davidson, NC, where he enjoys golf, tennis, running, gardening, and reading.

Mark is a dynamic and creative strategist with global experience across multiple disciplines. Vishal Gupta is global CTO and Senior Vice President, Technology at Unisys. Vishal leads the global technology and product organization across six global centers and over 1500  technology associates and leads a global technology business of over $700 M in close partnership with sales. Prior to Unisys, he was Senior Vice President of Engineering and Product management at Symantec responsible for five product lines in Cyber security. Mr. Gupta is a seasoned engineering and business leader with a proven track record in developing award-winning products and partnering with sales to profitably grow the technology products and services business.  He has extensive experience in creating award winning products and transforming industries by leveraging technologies like Machine Learning, Cloud, IoT, and Agile development. By partnering strategically with customers and partners, Vishal has been able to transform both the experience and the value associated with technology products and services.  

Prior to Symantec, Vishal was the Chief Product and IoT Officer for Silent Circle, a cyber security and privacy company. There he launched the industry’s first Enterprise Privacy platform. Prior to that, Mr. Gupta held multiple leadership roles at Cisco, including VP/GM for IoT to lead their global effort to transform industries by creating differentiated IoT products, partner eco-systems, and services for multiple sectors including banking by developing transformational products like Remote expert to drive higher wallet share. Vishal is also considered a global industry thought leader especially in cyber security and has presented in several conferences and has been quoted extensively in press and is member of Forbes technology council.

Prior to joining Tyco, Rodolfo held leadership positions at All American Semiconductors, HB Fuller Company, Beauty Group International/Cosmo International Latin America, Deloitte Consulting, Vitro Group and FAA Repair Station, in operations, global supply chain, operational excellence, multi plant management, EH&S, engineering and quality.

Dr Remi Raphael

Director of Business Transformation, Duke

Dr. Raphael is a computer scientist by training and author of a dozen scientific publications on data integration, ontologies and workflow systems. He spent over a decade developing software in industry and academia prior to shifting his focus to the energy industry and the application of information technology to risk management, quantitative finance, and business strategy. Most recently, he was tasked to accelerate Duke Energy Business Transformation, enabling rapid execution of its Digital Strategy, focusing on Mobility & Digital tools adoption across all business units, and tracking digital maturity and business success metrics. Prior to that, he held various positions in Risk Management at Duke Energy leading its international renewable energy assets in Latin America and at Sempra Energy as the joined Risk Manager for SoCal Gas and San Diego Gas & Electric. Dr. Raphael earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, then a Master of Computer Science from Claude Bernard University in Lyon-France, PhD in Computer Science from National Institute of Applied Sciences Lyon, France (INSA de Lyon) and an MBA in Finance from University of California, San Diego.
